Global Pharma / Biotech Clients
Portfolio
Marketing videos, event openers, sizzle reels, patient stories, scientific animation, and short films — produced and edited for Fortune 500 pharma, biotech, and financial services clients.
Marketing Videos
Mavenclad MS Therapy — North American Townhall Sizzle
EMD Serono & Merck KGaA
The challenge was making a multi-year MS therapy story land in the two minutes a stage or a feed allows, without losing the science. The edit leans on pace and music to carry the emotional stakes, keeping the clinical detail in the background.
President's Award — Winner Destination Video
EMD Serono & Merck KGaA
Recognition videos can feel like a formality. This one leans on travel and destination footage from the actual trip so winners see themselves in the story, not just their name on a slide.
New Lives — Fertility Franchise Motion Billboard
EMD Serono
Motion billboards get seconds, not minutes. The concept distills the fertility franchise's brand promise into a loopable, mostly wordless visual rhythm that reads at a glance from across a lobby or trade show floor.
Constant Curiosity — Cross-Division Motion Billboard
EMD Serono
This billboard had to represent multiple therapeutic divisions under one idea. "Constant Curiosity" became the throughline — a visual metaphor for R&D culture rather than any single product.
Derrick White — Brand Spot
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
Spokesperson spots can feel scripted fast. This cut builds its pacing around Derrick's natural delivery instead of forcing him into a corporate cadence.
Derrick White — Brand Spot
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
A shorter cutdown of the same campaign, re-paced for placements where the ad slot — and the viewer's attention — is much tighter.
Derrick White — Brand Spot
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
A third variation on the same campaign, opening on a different hook to give the client options across different media placements.
Berkshire Bank Flex Loan Plan
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
"Flex Loan" needed to sound approachable, not like fine print. The concept favors plain-language voiceover and real-life scenarios over rate tables and jargon.
Berkshire Bank Flex Loan Plan
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
A companion cut of the Flex Loan campaign, adjusted in pacing and emphasis for a different placement and audience.
Berkshire One — Digital Banking
Berkshire Bank (now Beacon Bank)
Positioning a regional bank's digital platform against national competitors meant leading with simplicity and trust rather than a feature list.
Live Event & Show Openers
POA 2019 Sizzle Opener
EMD Serono
A Plan of Action opener has to set the room's energy before a single data slide appears. Built hype-first and stat-light, so the meeting starts like an event.
North America Townhall — Hype Opener
EMD Serono, May 2019
Townhall openers risk feeling like corporate filler. Quick-cut employee and product footage set to a driving track was the way to make the first 60 seconds feel like an event, not a meeting.
Tumor Models & Human Cell Lines — Google Search
Biocytogen
Built specifically for a paid search placement, meaning a technical research-model product had to read clearly in the first few seconds, before a viewer scrolls past.
BioMice Integrated Models
Biocytogen / BioMice
The BioMice platform is highly technical. The goal was a visual a non-scientist stakeholder could still follow at a glance, without oversimplifying past the point of accuracy.
Hype & Sizzle Reels
Hype Video — North American Oncology Franchise
EMD Serono
This had to rally a sales team around an oncology franchise without leaning on clinical data — momentum built through pacing and music rather than messaging.
Year of the Nurse — Marissa's Story
EMD Serono (MS Lifelines)
Patient and caregiver stories tip into melodrama fast if overproduced. The approach was to let Marissa's own words carry the piece and keep the edit out of the way.
Year of the Nurse — Kendra's Story
EMD Serono (MS Lifelines)
A companion piece to Marissa's story, given its own structure and arc so each nurse's story stands on its own rather than feeling like a template.
2019 President Award Winner Montage
EMD Serono, Rockland MA
Award montages risk playing as a flat highlight reel. This one was cut to a build-recognition-celebration arc instead of a straight sequence of clips.
Office Relocation to Waltham — Hype Video
Biocytogen
An office move needed to feel like a step forward in company culture, not just an address change — so the concept centers on the team's excitement rather than the building itself.
Office Relocation to Waltham — Hype Video 2
Biocytogen
A second cut for a different internal audience, adjusting pacing and footage selection from the first relocation video.
Animation — Science & Biotechnology
RenMab™ Mouse — An Innovative Platform
Biocytogen
Explaining a proprietary antibody-discovery mouse platform to a non-scientist audience meant finding visual metaphors for genetic engineering concepts that would otherwise take a biology degree to follow.
TCRm Antibody Technology — Introduction
Biocytogen
This explainer had to make T-cell receptor mimic technology legible in under two minutes — prioritizing one clear visual metaphor over exhaustive technical detail.
Short Films
THE ACTIVIST
Written & Edited by Rudi Anna · Dir. Phillip Montgomery
Written and edited as a character study rather than a message film — the goal was to let the activist's convictions create tension with the people around her, not to editorialize.
A Scene from a Street in LA
Written by Rudi Anna & Phillip Montgomery · In Association with Anonymous Content
A slice-of-life short built around observation rather than plot. The concept trusted a single street-level moment to carry the whole piece.
Graphic Design
From trade show graphics and event collateral to digital campaigns and print, I build visual systems that communicate clearly and feel distinctly on-brand — whether for a startup biotech or a global pharmaceutical company.
A trade show floor or a conference hallway gives a piece of design about three seconds to register. The system built for POA and similar events prioritizes a consistent visual language — one that holds together across a booth panel, a slide, and a printed piece — so a viewer half-recognizes the brand before they've consciously read anything, then confirms it up close.

About
Content & brand manager with 15+ years of experience leading multimedia content creation across pharma, biotech, and financial services.
I'm Rudi Anna — a video producer, graphic designer, and storyteller with extensive experience creating content for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. My clients have included EMD Serono (a Merck KGaA company) and Biocytogen, producing everything from high-energy hype reels and event openers to patient-centered stories, scientific animation, and trade show design.
But I'm also a storyteller in the oldest sense. Award-winning short films, investigative journalism, profile writing, and creative fiction — if there's a story to tell, I'll find the right form to tell it in. That versatility is what I bring to every project.
Images, songs, texts — all their complexity, all their irrationality, moral confusion and hope. The stories we tell crystalize these experiences. Through them we forge, perhaps, our most precious of stones.
